Stumbled on something funny….

Teenage girl
’sleepwalks’ up 130ft crane

A teenage sleepwalker has been rescued after being
found asleep at the top of a 130ft crane.

Police  were called to Underhill Road, Dulwich,
south east London after a  passer-by spotted the 15-year-old girl curled up on top of a concrete
counterweight high above the ground.

The girl, who has not been  named, had apparently
managed to climb up the crane and walk across a  narrow metal beam while fast asleep.

It
is believed the girl walked unnoticed out of her home near a building site.

Police  and
the fire service were called to the scene amid fears she was about  to throw herself off but when a
firefighter crawled up the crane he  found her sleeping.

The rescue operation took two
and a half hours and the girl was finally brought down in a hydraulic lift at 4am.

A
police spokeswoman said she was taken to hospital for a check-up but was allowed home when she was
found to be unharmed.

Irshaad Ebrhim, of the London Sleep Centre, said he had treated
people who had driven cars and ridden horses whilst asleep.

He said one patient
"even attempted to fly a helicopter".

He said: "Sleepwalking is nothing to
do with dreaming because it occurs in a non-dreaming sleep state."

Sleepwalking
affects one in ten people at least once in their lives.

Most incidents are short and are
not dangerous but it can sometime result in injury.

May The Force Be With You

Old & dusty this blog is. Lazy to update I have been. Immitating Yoda i am not. By the way this entry is not meant to irritate readers. Caugth Return of the Sith yesterday. Certainly the best among the first three edition of "Perang Galaksi."

Had a surprise when an "Angie Ng" sent me 2 messages and a friend confirmation message in friendster. As far as i know i do not know anyone by the name of Angie Ng. But one click tells all when i spotted her email (which has her full name in it) in her friendster profile….ahh..it’s her. What’s even more astonishing is that this old friend has chosen to sign up for friendster and "shock" me with a couple of messages rather than calling/sms-ing me. It’s a pleasant surprise nontheless….A long time it’s been since we last met.

Anyway it’s 9:03 on a Sunday morning. I’m supposed to be in bed. Heck we’re all supposed to be in bed.

first friendster blog post…hi & welcome all  =)  didn’t know friendster has a blog service til recently. interface looks fine…everyone seems to hv one…so i’ve decided to hv one too.

unlike regular saturday mornings where i’ll be sleeping soundly this one’s been rather different. i’m wide awake…thanx to a 5 hour sleep yesterday evening/night. and i dun plan to sleep anytime soon coz i’ll be making my journey back to hometown at 10AM later.

reason why i’m going back for nothing more than 30 hours is for my grandma’s 80th "birthday bash." will be following uncle back so i hope i don’t start to snore in the car. and it’s quite unlikely i’ll offer to drive just to stay awake…it’s precious lives we’re talking about here….

anyway happy birthday to granny….wishing her the best of health and many many more happy years ahead.
